Gong YuBin (Hangul: 공유빈) is a South Korean idol under MODHAUS and the eighth revealed member of tripleS. She was revealed as S8 on September 9, 2022.
YuBin made her debut in tripleS' first sub-unit, Acid Angel from Asia, with their mini album, ACCESS, and the title track, “Generation” on October 28, 2022.
She is a member of the sub-units, Acid Angel from Asia, ACID EYES, LOVElution and Visionary Vision.
History[]
Early life[]
YuBin was born as Gong Yu-bin (공유빈) on February 3, 2005 in Giheung-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She entered the entertainment industry when she was thirteen, appearing as a participant on TV Chosun's junior cooking survival show, "I Am Chef", where she ranked within the top three during the final round.
At some point during her teenage years, she became a trainee under JYPE in their acting division. It is unknown when she left the agency but she later became a trainee under HYBE in Source Music[1] until 2021-2022.
It is currently not known when or how YuBin joined MODHAUS, but it is speculated she became a small s in the spring or summer of 2022.
2022: Reveal & Debut[]
On September 4, S8 was anonymously featured in SSSIGNAL #15 during the shoot for the 2nd Edition Atom01 objekts. On September 7, S8's teaser drop image was officially released. Two days later, YuBin was revealed as the eighth member of the group on September 9. Her "Welcome to the HAUS" teaser was released and she moved into the HAUS on September 12.
On September 24, YuBin was determined as the third member of Acid Angel from Asia through the First Grand Gravity. She made her debut with the sub-unit's first mini album, ACCESS and the title, "Generation" on October 28.
2023: ASSEMBLE, LOVELution & U.S.A Tour[]
On February 13, YuBin made her first comeback with tripleS' full group debut mini album, <ASSEMBLE>, and the title, "Rising". She also participated in the group's first pre-concert of the same name which was also held on the same day.
On April 22, she was determined as the first member of LOVElution through the Two Big WAVes Grand Gravity. She debuted with the sub-unit and their mini album, <ↀ>, with the title, "Girls' Capitalism" on August 17. YuBin, along with the rest of LOVElution, participated in the first leg of the <Authentic> tour in the United States from September 24 to October 14.
2024: Seoul Tour, ASSEMBLE24, Visionary Vision[]
Between February 3-4, YuBin participated in the South Korean leg of the <Authentic> Tour with the first twenty revealed members.
On May 8, she made her comeback with tripleS first studio album, ASSEMBLE24, and the title track, “Girls Never Die”.
On June 13, YuBin was pre-selected as a member of the sub-unit, Visionary Vision.
