JooBin (Hangul: 주빈) is a South Korean idol and the eighteenth revealed member of tripleS. She was revealed as S18 on December 22, 2023.
JooBin made her sub-unit debut on December 23, 2023, with tripleS' fifth sub-unit, NXT, and the non-promoted digital single, “Just Do It”. She made her official debut on May 8, 2024, with tripleS' first studio album, ASSEMBLE24, and the title track, “Girls Never Die”.
She is a member of the sub-unit, NXT.
History[]
Early life[]
JooBin was born Joo Bin (주빈) on January 16, 2009 in South Korea. At some point, while pursuing a career as an idol, she joined Flat9, a K-Pop training academy, and became a student there. It is currently unknown when she passed the auditions for MODHAUS and became a small s, but it is speculated to have been around mid to late 2023.[1]
2023: Reveal & NXT activities[]
On October 31, a teaser titled tripleS NEXT was released, featuring the announcement of four new members; S17, S18, S19 and S20. On November 8, in SIGNAL #393, it was confirmed that S17-S20 were practicing together, though unknown what for at the time. On November 22, a dijkstra theory photo consisting of the hands of S17-S20 was released.[2]
On December 11, an official image teaser titled "tripleS NXT" was released featuring S17-S20. Three days later on December 14, a video teaser was also released. On December 22, JooBin was revealed as the eighteenth member of tripleS through her official photo reveal.[3] Her video teaser was released on December 27.[4] In an article released about NXT's single, "Just Do It", it was confirmed she is the maknae and visual of the unit.[5]
2024: Seoul Tour, Debut[]
On January 17, JooBin officially moved into the HAUS and became roommates with SooMin, DaHyun and eventually ShiOn.
On February 4, she participated in the Seoul leg of the <Authentic> Tour on the second and final day along with the rest of NXT.
On May 8, she made her official debut with tripleS' first studio album, ASSEMBLE24, and the title track, “Girls Never Die”.
