Kim YooYeon (Hangul: 김유연) is a South Korean idol under MODHAUS and the fifth revealed member of tripleS. She was revealed as S5 on July 11, 2022.
YooYeon made her debut in tripleS' first sub-unit, Acid Angel from Asia, with their mini album, ACCESS, and the title track, “Generation”.
She is the leader of the sub-units, Acid Angel from Asia and EVOLution, and a member of the sub-units, ACID EYES, Visionary Vision, Hatchi, Alphie and Sun.

Early life[]
YooYeon was born as Kim Yoo-yeon (김유연) on February 9, 2001 in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Prior to her appearance in "My Teenage Girl", YooYeon was enrolled at and attended Ewha Womans University as her parents wanted her to become a doctor. However she wanted to pursue her dream of debuting as an idol and to convince her parents she promised that she'd try to debut in the final group of MTG.
2021-2022: My Teenage Girl, Reveal & Debut[]
On September 8, 2021, YooYeon was featured in the trailer as a contestant for MBC's new girl group survival show, My Teenage Girl.[1] She was officially revealed as a contestant on September 14, 2021.
On November 28, in the first episode, she along with contestants, Yoon ChaeWon and Jeon YouEun, performed Sunmi's Gashina but unfortunately she was disqualified from the competition after only receiving one vote from the masters. She was brought back onto the show on Episode 3.
After she was brought back, she managed to survive all elimination rounds up to the finale. YooYeon was eliminated on the 12th and final episode after coming short one place for the debut team, ranking 8th. After the show ended, YooYeon was contacted by Modhaus and asked if she would join tripleS.[2] On July 11, YooYeon was officially announced as the fifth member of tripleS through a short video teaser. This marks the first and only time a member did not receive a "Teaser Drop" image. A longer video teaser was uploaded on July 15. The following day, her "Welcome to the HAUS" teaser was released and she moved into the HAUS on July 18.
On September 25, YooYeon was determined as the final member of Acid Angel from Asia through the First Grand Gravity vote. She made her debut with the sub-unit's first mini album, ACCESS and the title, "Generation" on October 28.
2023: ASSEMBLE, EVOLution & AUS Tour[]
On February 13, YooYeon made her first comeback with tripleS' full group debut mini album, ASSEMBLE, and the title, "Rising". She also participated in the group's first pre-concert of the same name held on the same day.
On April 28, YooYeon was determined as the first member of sub-unit, EVOLution, through the Two Big WAVes Grand Gravity.
On October 11, YooYeon made her official debut with tripleS' fourth sub-unit, EVOLution, with their mini album, <⟡>, and the title track, “Invincible”. Along with the rest of EVOLution, she participated in the Australian leg of the <Authentic> Tour from the December 20-23.
2024: Seoul Tour, Acting debut, ASSEMBLE24, Visionary Vision & Japan Dimension[]
Between February 3-4, YooYeon participated in the Seoul leg of the <Authentic> Tour alongside LOVElution, EVOLution and NXT members.
On April 4, YooYeon appeared in a promotional teaser for the web-drama, “WHAT'S UP”, confirming her acting debut as the supporting character Lee YuJin. The drama began airing on April 7.[3]
On June 18, YooYeon was determined as a member of the sub-unit, Visionary Vision, through the Visionary Vision Grand Gravity. She debuted with this sub-unit on October 23 with the studio album, Performante, and the title track "Hit the Floor".
On August 25, YooYeon was determined as a member of the upcoming Japanese sub-unit, through the Japan Dimension Grand Gravity (Lemino).[4] She debuted with this sub-unit on November 20 with the single album, Untitled, and the title track of the same name.
2025: ASSEMBLE25, Alphie, Hatchi[]
On May 12, YooYeon made her comeback with tripleS' second studio album, ASSEMBLE25, and the title track, "깨어 (Are You Alive)".
From September 3 to 22, she, together with Alphie, embarked on the tripleS Alphie Alpha Percent World Tour.
On September 5, YooYeon was determined as a member of the sub-unit Sun, through the msnz Grand Gravity.
On September 17, she, together with Hatchi, released "Password", the title track of Hatchi's first EP, SecretHimitsuBimil.
On November 24, YooYeon debuted with sun with the single "Bubble Gum Girl" from the mini-album Beyond Beauty.
