LOVElution (Hangul: 러블루션) is tripleS' third sub-unit. They made their debut on August 17, 2023, with the mini album, MUHAN, and the title track, “Girls' Capitalism”.
The lineup was decided through the Two Big WAVes Grand Gravity in April 2023 and consists of the members, Yoon SeoYeon, Jeong HyeRin, Gong YuBin, Kaede, Seo DaHyun, Nien, Park SoHyun and Xinyu.
History
2023: Formation, Debut with MUHAN & U.S.A Tour
On April 20th, tripleS' fourth gravity event was announced, titled Second Grand Gravity. It was to determine the lineups for the two new sub-units, EVOLution and LOVElution. S16 was already determined as a LOVElution member pre-gravity.
On April 22nd, YuBin was revealed as the first member of LOVElution, followed by SeoYeon on the 23rd, Kaede on the 24th, DaHyun on the 25th, SoHyun on the 26th, HyeRin on the 27th, and Nien on the 28th. On the last day of the Gravity, LOVElution was determined as the sub-unit to promote first over EVOLution. Xinyu was revealed as the final member of the unit when she was revealed as S15 on July 2nd.
On July 10th, filming for LOVElution's title track music video was revealed in SIGNAL #313. Teasers were released starting with Nien's on July 21st, followed by YuBin's on the 22nd, Xinyu's on the 23rd, DaHyun's on the 24th, SeoYeon's on the 25th, HyeRin's on the 26th, SoHyun's on the 27th, and Kaede's on the 28th.
Alongside the first teaser, it was announced on July 29th, that LOVElution would be having their first world tour, tripleS 1st World Tour <Authentic>, starting in the United States with "LOVElution in US." With the sub-unit being planned to perform at ten cities, the tour would begin on September 24th in Atlanta and end on October 14th in Los Angeles.[1]
As of September 3rd, LOVElution's promotional period for ↀ has ended with their last live broadcast performance on Inkigayo, which was also their second time performing on said music show as a sub-unit.[2]
Concept
LOVElution concept is about self-confidence within our Generation and youth. The Girls Capitalism music video is all about loving yourself, as shown in the "10 Rules of the Mad Money Club". It can also been shown through the lyrics of the song is also about loving yourself "Call me beauty, Gotta love myself in the mirror, I'm beautiful, Love me better."
