The MOD Forest HAUS is the eighth revealed HAUS. It was revealed simultaneously alongside the MODU HAUS and the Cookie HAUS, and currently houses members Kim NaKyoung, Kotone, Lynn, Jeong HaYeon, Park ShiOn and SeoAh.
It is located in Seoul, South Korea.
Name Meaning[]
The MOD Forest HAUS was previously named HAUS A up until SIGNAL #320, where the then current residents, (consisting of everyone except HaYeon), decided on MOD Forest HAUS. Its Korean name is "Modasup (모다숲)" (SUP means forest in English), which is a play on the name "Modasu (모다수)". Modasu is NaKyoung's shortened version of their company MODHAUS that she used on Fromm.
History[]
MOD Forest HAUS was first revealed in SIGNAL #308 along with MODU HAUS and Cookie HAUS.
In SIGNAL #332, the 4-Person Blue Room wherein HyeRin, ChaeYeon, and Kotone reside has been named the "Ara Ara Hawaii Room" (originally the Hawaii Room), due to their mutual fondness for the well known Japanese expression and their room having a fabric scenery of Hawaii on the wall.
Later in SIGNAL WEEKLY #56, the name of the 2-Person Purple Room, along with the original name of the 4-Person Blue Room, was revealed with a footage recorded on the same day the MOD Forest HAUS was introduced. NaKyoung and YuBin's room has been named the "Gongzoo Room" (or Gongjoo, meaning 'princess') after the room's theme of having many animal-related (mainly cats) aesthetics, as well as after YuBin's surname.
In SIGNAL #443, nineteenth member, HaYeon, moved into MOD Forest HAUS as its sixth resident, joining HyeRin, ChaeYeon, and Kotone in the Ara-Ara Hawaii Room. Together, they agreed to keep the room's original name.
After completing promotions for the OT24 debut, the members were granted the freedom to live outside of the HAUSES if they desired, one of them being HyeRin.
On an episode of a show, Omniscient Interfering View, it was revealed that the resident arrangement has been changed, with Lynn, ShiOn and SeoAh replacing HyeRin, ChaeYeon, and YuBin. Lynn joined NaKyoung in the 2-Person Purple Room, while ShiOn and SeoAh joined Kotone and HaYeon in the 4-Person Blue Room. It was also revealed in the show that the 1-Person Green Room is being used by the group's manager, Jang Haesol.[1] The current names of the rooms after the new arrangement is currently unknown.
