Yoon SeoYeon (Hangul: 윤서연) is a South Korean idol under MODHAUS and the first revealed member of tripleS. She was revealed as S1 on May 1, 2022.

SeoYeon made her debut on February 13, 2023, with tripleS' first mini album, ASSEMBLE, and the title track “Rising”. She made her official sub-unit debut in tripleS' second sub-unit, +(KR)ystal Eyes, with their mini album, AESTHETIC, and the title, “Cherry Talk”.

She is a member of the sub-units, +(KR)ystal Eyes and ACID EYES, the leader of the sub-units, LOVElution and Neptune, and the first official leader of tripleS during ASSEMBLE25.

History

Early life

SeoYeon was born as Yoon Seo-Yeon (윤서연) on August 6, 2003 in Daejeon, South Korea. At some point during her last year of high school, while contemplating universities, she received an offer by MODHAUS over Instagram to become a trainee and accepted it. It is unknown the exact date but it's estimated she became a trainee in spring of 2022.

2022: Reveal & Activities

On April 29, the first teaser drop was released for S1, the first member of the group.[1] On May 1, SeoYeon was revealed as tripleS' first member through her introductory teaser.[2] She then moved into the Gapyeong HAUS on May 9, marking the beginning of tripleS' daily reality series, SIGNAL, and the start of the tripleS project.

In June, SeoYeon's first photobook, “THE FACE”, was teased in SIGNAL #34 with a release date set for July, though it was later postponed to late September/early October for production reasons.

On September 22, SeoYeon was determined as the first member of the sub-unit, +(KR)ystal Eyes, through the first First Grand Gravity.

2023: Debut, +(KR)ystal Eyes, Queendom Puzzle, LOVElution & U.S.A Tour

On February 13, SeoYeon made her debut with tripleS with their first mini album, <ASSEMBLE>, and the title track, "Rising". On the same day, tripleS' first pre-concert was also held.

On April 13, SeoYeon was determined as the second member of sub-unit, LOVElution, through the Two Big WAVes Grand Gravity.

On May 4, SeoYeon debuted with tripleS' second sub-unit, +(KR)ystal Eyes, with their mini album, <AESTHETIC>, and the title track, “Cherry Talk”. On May 25, she and JiWoo were revealed as contestants on the Mnet female idol survival show, Queendom Puzzle. She was eliminated from the show on the seventh episode, which aired on July 25.

On August 17, SeoYeon debuted with tripleS' fourth sub-unit, LOVElution, with their mini album, <ↀ>, and the title track, “Girls' Capitalism”. Along with the rest of LOVElution, she participated in the North American leg of the <Authentic> Tour from September 24 to October 14.

2024: Seoul Tour, ASSEMBLE24, Acting debut

Between February 3-4 SeoYeon participated in the South Korean leg of the <Authentic> Tour along with LOVElution, EVOLution and NXT members.

On May 8, she made her comeback with tripleS first studio album, ASSEMBLE24, and the title track, “Girls Never Die”.

On September 18, SeoYeon was revealed as the main lead in the web-drama, What Summer Likes!. The drama began airing from September 20.

2025: ASSEMBLE25

On May 12, SeoYeon came back with tripleS' second full group release with their second studio album, ASSEMBLE25, and the title track, Wake Up (Are You Alive).

On September 3, she was revealed to be the leader of Neptune on SIGNAL #722. She debuted with Neptune on November 24 with msnz's mini-album Beyond Beauty and the single "Fly Up".
